North White School Corporation New Phone Numbers effective January 4, 2023


North White School Corporation is completing the implementation of a new phone system over Chistmas break.  Beginning January 4, 2023 the phone numbers used to contact the Schools and Administration Office will change.  The new numbers are listed below.  After January 3, 2023, the current phone numbers can no longer be used and the new numbers listed below will have to be used.  Please do not use the new numbers until January 4, 2023.

A partir del 4 de enero de 2023, los números de teléfono utilizados para comunicarse con la Escuelas y Oficina de Administración cambiarán. Los nuevos números se enumeran a continuación. Después del 3 de enero de 2023, los números de teléfono actuales ya no podrán usarse y deberán usarse los nuevos números que se enumeran a continuación. No utilice los nuevos números hasta el 4 de enero de 2023.

Tutoring Grants

 

ILEARN 2023 is in April.  Qualifying 4-5th grade families have $500 tutoring grants available NOW.  Visit https://www.google.com/url?q=httpwww.indianalearns.org and input the STN and birthdate.  If you qualify, you can claim the award and begin tutoring today.

2019-2020 SEA 217 Dyslexia Information for North White Elementary School

The 2019-2020 school year is the first year we are required by the state to share information on how we are implementing the new requirements for dyslexia screenings and interventions.  For details about our new dyslexia law, SEA 217,  please visit the site below.

Dyslexia intervention program used: Orton-Gillingham and/or Wilson Reading Program

Number of students who received dyslexia interventions: 25 students (1st and 2nd, 3rd grade RtI students)

Number of students identified with dyslexia: 0

*Because of the recent COVID-19 outbreak and our last day at school being March 13, we were unable to complete the screening process on our kindergarten students.  According to the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE), we will screen these students when school resumes next year as we are able.  Below is the IDOE’s most recent guidance on how the dyslexia screenings and interventions will be implemented for the end of this year and beginning of next year.

New Visitor Policy

NEW VISITOR POLICY: 

Effective immediately upon return of students to school on January 7, 2019, EVERY visitor to the elementary MUST bring his/her driver’s license or identification card to the front office to check in.

NO ONE will be allowed to be in the school without identification.
